Pyramid Lake in Los Angeles County. 
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) is reopening recreational opportunities at Pyramid Lake in Los Angeles County on Saturday, May 23, 2020.
Visitors are advised to follow CA Department of Public Health Guidelines, as well as Los Angeles County guidelines, to ensure the health and safety of employees and visitors. If too many people are at the reservoir to allow for physical distancing of 6 feet or more, visitors will be asked to leave. Large gatherings of more than 10 people are not allowed.
Vehicle access and picnic area availability will be limited in the number of visitors allowed. Emigrant Landing Day Use Area is open for recreational opportunities, such as boating, fishing, and personal watercraft use, but the swim beaches and Los Alamos Campground remain closed.
A limited number of boats will be permitted in the launch area at any one time to facilitate distancing. Quagga mussel inspections of all watercraft prior to launching are required. All watercraft must be 100 percent dry of moisture or have a re-entry inspection tag.
