SACRAMENTO– The Department of Water Resources (DWR) today announced contractors will begin road work on Oroville Dam Blvd East and Glen Drive on July 15 to improve the roadway surface impacted by installation of a new fiber optic conduit from the Operations and Maintenance Center at the Oroville Field Division to the Hyatt Powerplant Complex. Paving and road maintenance is expected to last two weeks and will result in periodic road closures and traffic delays.
Glen Drive
One-lane closure dates: July 15 through July 18, and July 29
Hours of closure: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Details: The northbound lane from the intersection of Oro Dam Blvd. East to DWR Oroville Field Division (460 Glen Drive) will be closed for repaving. The southbound lane will remain open with traffic controls to allow for one-way traffic during construction.
Oro Dam Blvd. East
Road closure dates: July 19, July 22 through July 26, and July 29
Hours of closure: 6 a.m. through 6 p.m.
Details: Oro Dam Blvd. East will be closed in both directions for repaving from the intersection with Glen Drive to about 1 mile east of Hyatt Powerplant. Traffic controls will be used at the intersection of Oro Dam Blvd. East and Glen Drive to allow access for residents living along this stretch of Oro Dam Blvd. East.
