The Capitol Area Development Authority is Greening up Sacramento

Published Date:

Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA) completed the 16th Street Greenscape project in midtown Sacramento. The project provides environmental benefits through water capture/retention basins, bioswales with plantings to provide biofiltration, and drought tolerant trees that sequester carbon. The design also included safe ADA walking routes and crosswalks, shade from trees planted along pathways, benches and seating at parklets along pathways, and educational signs speaking to the project’s environmental benefits.
