The Border Coast Regional Airport Authority recently completed the Bay Meadows Mitigation Project located in Crescent City. The project included the establishment or re-establishment of self-sustaining natural palustrine emergent wetlands on 16 acres of a total 82-acre site. A gravel road, invasive plants, and a culvert were removed; and native plantings were installed.
This project was funded via the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Program.
