Vacaville partnered with Solano RCD to restore various spots along Alamo Creek, focusing on Arundo donax removal, bank stabilization, native plant revegetation and improved water quality. The project sites are accessible by the Alamo and Southside bike trails. The city incorporated various school groups and were able to deliver a great project despite long hot working days.
This project was funded by Proposition 84 – Urban Greening Grant Program.
