Lisa Lien-Mager joined the California Natural Resources Agency in August 2017. As Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications, Lisa serves as a key advisor to the Natural Resources Secretary and directs communications programs and initiatives within the Agency. She also serves as the principal spokesperson for the Agency and oversees communications activities across Agency departments. Before her appointment, Lisa served as Director of Communications for the Association of California Water Agencies for five years and held various other positions at that organization. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and started her career as a reporter for the Milwaukee Sentinel.
