Elizabeth Williamson, Deputy Secretary for Strategic Initiatives

Photo of of Lizzy WilliamsonLizzy Williamson joined the California Natural Resources Agency in December 2018. Lizzy works on high-priority initiatives for the Office of the Secretary, spearheading agency-wide projects, tracking and coordinating key initiatives with the Governor's Office and other agencies, and ensuring strong communication and collaboration across the Agency's 26 departments, commissions, and conservancies. Before CNRA, Lizzy served in the Office of Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. doing external affairs where she worked across state agencies to engage stakeholders on key priorities and events for the Governor. She helped advance California's international relationships focused on climate change, tourism, and trade and helped organize the 2018 Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco. In her free time, you can find Lizzy coaching the pole vault for the California State University, Sacramento track and field team, where she has coached since 2012.
