Proposition 1 IRWM Plan Review Process
Proposition 1 IRWM funding is available for projects that are included and implemented in an adopted IRWM Plan, consistent with Water Code Section 10530 et seq. The IRWM Plan Review Process (PRP) is used to provide a systematic and consistent way for DWR to review IRWM plan content to determine consistency with the plan standards contained in the current IRWM Program Guidelines.
The 2016 PRP Review Tool, below, presents the 2016 IRWM Plan Standards and can also be found at the link in the 2016 IRWM Guidelines, Appendix A.
Note: Appendix H of the 2016 Proposition 1 Guidelines provides an overview of the changes between the 2016 and 2012 IRWM Plan Standards.
The 2016 PRP review tool is available. IRWM Regional Water Management Groups can submit IRWM Plans for review on an on-going basis. Please follow the instructions in the 2016 IRWM Guidelines, Volume 2, Section IV for plan submittal.

The current status of IRWM regions updating their plans consistent with the 2016 IRWM Plan Standards is summarized in the following table:

As IRWM plans are submitted and reviewed, they will be posted on this page for public comment. When a draft review is posted, the public comment on that draft review is open and will close 30 calendar days later (date will be indicated). The link to the draft review will be removed after the public comment review period end date and a final review will be posted.
