Release Site Predation Monitoring Study
The Release Site Predation Monitoring Study helps us develop methods to quantify predation at fish release sites in the State Water Project. Our research evaluates the effectiveness of release sites and allows us to analyze the use of modified fish release schedules to improve fish survival. We have completed refurbishment of an existing release site and have begun construction of two additional release sites that are jointly used by the State Water Project and Central Valley Project. This study is a part of DWR’s work to comply with the 2009 National Marine Fisheries Services Biological Opinion.
