Public Comment Period: Hood Abandoned Pipes and Conduit Removal Project (Proposed Project) Draft Initial Study and Proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration

DWR’s Division of Integrated Science and Engineering announces a 37-day public comment period for the Hood Abandoned Pipes and Conduit Removal Project (Proposed Project) Draft Initial Study and Proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration. This Proposed Project consists of full removal of the remaining portions of the fish screen testing facility. The Proposed Project will comply with the California Water Code, Division 5, Part 4, Title 23 of the California Code of Regulations Section 124.

Note: Appendix C “Tribal Consultation” and the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Plan Consistency Determination Form part of Appendix D “Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Analyses” are not included within the Draft IS and Proposed MND document. Notice is hereby given that the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) Division of Integrated Science and Engineering, Environmental Services Branch and Fisheries Infrastructure and Operations Branch intend to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) for the Hood Abandoned Pipes and Conduit Removal Project. Notice is hereby given that the Draft Initial Study (IS) and Proposed MND prepared by DWR have been released for a 37-day public review.
