Public Comment Period Opens for Draft County Drought Resilience Plan Guidebook

The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) is pleased to announce a public comment period for the Draft County Drought Resilience Plan Guidebook.  DWR prepared this Guidebook as technical assistance to help counties develop their respective County Drought Resilience Plan to meet the requirements of SB 552. This Guidebook includes information about available data and tools compiled by State agencies, short-term response, long-term mitigation strategy and actions, and other supporting capacities to assist counties in their implementation needs to achieve meaningful and long-term water resilience improvements for their residents.

The Draft County Drought Resilience Plan Guidebook is available for public comment now through January 20, 2023. Download Draft County Drought Resilience Plan Guidebook . Please submit comments by January 20, 2023 to droughtrisk@water.ca.gov with “Public Comment” in the subject line.
