DRAFT 2020 Guidelines and Proposal Solicitation Package for Prop-204 Drainage Reuse Grant Program Released for Public Comment

The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) released the Draft 2020 Guidelines and Proposal Solicitation Package for the Drainage Reuse Grant Program to develop methods of using drainage water as well as reducing toxic materials in drainage water through the reuse of water and the use of the remaining salts.

The program is funded by Proposition 204 via the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA). A total of approximately $1,000,000 of funding is available in 2020 and maximum grant amounts per each eligible project are limited to $300,000.

The Draft Guidelines and Proposal Solicitation Package (GL/PSP) are subject to public review for 15 days, starting on March 4, 2020 and ending on March 23, 2020. Public comments on the GL/PSP must be submitted to AgDrainageGrants@water.ca.gov no later than Monday, March 23, 2020 by 5:00 p.m. Any comments on the GL/PSP received after that date and time will not be considered. 

Following the review of public comments, DWR will release the Final guidelines and Proposal Solicitation Package to the public to invite proposals.
