Project WET Workshop Climate Change and California Water

The California Department of Water Resources (DWR), Imperial Irrigation District (IID) and California Project WET invite educators working with students in grades 3 through 12 to join us for a special workshop on climate change and its impact on California’s water resources.

Understanding climate change and its link to flood, drought, water quality, and more is crucial for all Californians. Join us to interact with experts from DWR and IID and learn activities that will help your students understand how climate change impacts water and how they can adapt to our changing environment'

The interdisciplinary activities supplement existing curriculum, are correlated to Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, and provide strong foundations for STEAM, Project-Based, and Service-Learning programs.

For a $25 registration fee, participants will receive:

  • A $100 stipend;
  • A continental breakfast and lunch;
  • The new Project WET "Water & Earth Systems" curriculum guide; and
  • An opportunity to ear 0.8 CEU credit.

Visit the Project WET for more information. Registration closes Friday, April 25, 2025.
