About Pride Month

June is Pride Month, an entire month dedicated to uplifting and celebrating LGBTQ2S+ voices, lives, contributions, and experiences. It is also a key time to support LGBTQ2S+ rights. This year’s theme, “Be Yourself. Change the World” recognizes the courage it takes to live openly and authentically while inspiring others to live their own authentic life. Whether a member of the LGBTQ2S+ community or an ally, do you have the courage to be yourself and change the world?

The logo reflects the flag designed in 2018 by non-binary designer Daniel Quasar to celebrate the diversity of the modern-day LGBTQ2S+ community and call for a more inclusive society. The colors also have their own unique symbolism:

Red: Life

Orange: Healing

Yellow: Sunlight

Green: Nature

Turquoise: Magic and Art

Indigo: Serenity

Violet: Spirit

Black and Brown: People of Color

Pink, White, Baby Blue: Transgender
