Statewide Adaptation

California state agencies are developing strategies to reduce the risks of climate change while making the state stronger and more resilient. Nearly every agency is involved in adaptation efforts, from flood and fire prevention to emergency management and public health protection. State agencies are using the best available Science and working with Local Governments and federal partners to develop cost-effective adaptation strategies that minimize risks while maximizing benefits for our economy, public health and safety, natural ecosystems, and food and energy security.
