State Policies and Programs
While Safeguarding California identifies climate vulnerabilities and state government’s ongoing actions and next steps to address them, there are many other initiatives that complement the planning and policy work in the state’s climate adaptation strategies. Find a sample of relevant work being conducted across state government in this area below:
- The Governor’s Office of Planning and Research convenes a Technical Advisory Group made up of climate adaptation experts within and outside of state government to guide the implementation of Executive Order B-30-15.
- The Climate Action Team convened by the California Environmental Protection Agency works to coordinate statewide climate policy.
- ClimateChange.ca.gov is the landing page for the California’s climate policy. Mitigation and adaptation are complementary and integrated pieces of California’s approach to climate change.
