The proposed project is to replace the existing drainage culvert to improve drainage. Project elements include replacement of the existing arch corrugated metal pipe culvert with a new concrete box culvert, improvements to the upstream and downstream flow channels, and improvements to the connection to an existing drainage swale.

This notice serves to inform all interested parties that the California Department of Water Resources intends to submit to the Delta Stewardship Council a Certification of Consistency for the Chipps Island Tidal Habitat Restoration Project on or after February 9, 2023 (10 days after this NOI is released).

DWR’s Operations and Maintenance staff will be applying herbicides and algaecides to several facilities throughout the State Water Project (SWP) in 2024. Treatments will occur on an as-needed basis to control algae and aquatic weeds. The herbicides to be used may include copper, endothall, and/or diquat based compounds.
