Release of Draft Recommended Funding List for Proposition 1 Implementation Grants for Public Comment (Mountain Counties)
The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) released the Draft Recommended Funding List for the Mountain Counties funding area for the Proposition 1 Round 1 Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) Implementation Grant Solicitation. Approximately $4.5 million in grant funding is being made available for implementation projects with approximately $1.8 million being made available for projects that provide direct benefits to Disadvantaged Communities.
These funding recommendations relate to grant applications received from IRWM regions in the following Proposition 1 IRWM funding area:
(Note: Awards for other funding areas will be released as available; the timing is based on DWR’s receipt of the grant applications).
Some projects have been recommended for funding on a conditional basis; the applicants should refer to the embedded notes as well as the Round 1 Implementation Grant Proposal Solicitation Package regarding additional information required to be submitted. The required information to address the noted conditions must be received no later than Tuesday, May 26, by 5:00pm. Applicants should contact DWR if additional time is needed for the response, due to the COVID-19 public health emergency; however, such delays will subsequently delay the final funding awards.
These funding recommendations are subject to public review for 21 calendars days (time frame extended due to the health emergency), through Friday May 15, 2020.
Following the review of public comments, resolution of conditional award status, and final DWR approval, the department will release the final list of awards and notify each recipient.
Public comments on the drafting funding list can be submitted by one of the following methods:
