To assist with young salmon migration through the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, DWR has recently completed installation of a bioacoustic fish fence at the junction of the Sacramento River and Georgiana Slough.

When a magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck near Isleton in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta on October 18, it was a reminder of the threat posed to critical State Water Project infrastructure by seismic activity.
As part of ongoing efforts to invest in water resilience programs in communities across California, DWR celebrated a $7.9 million grant awarded to the Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Agency to support groundwater recharge, sustainability planning, and water management.
