On Your Own Trips
Geology Walk : Join this regularly scheduled
tour on Wednesday, October 30 at 5:00 p.m. Susan Bartz, a local geology educator,
will take you on a walking tour of the amazing features found right along Arroyo
Burro Beach. Look for fossils, folds and fault lines as you stroll down the
beach below the Douglas Family Preserve. Please bring walking shoes and warm
clothes.

to the beach.

- Driving Directions : 2981 Cliff Drive, Santa
Barbara, CA 93109. Exit the hotel going west on E. Cabrillo Boulevard. Turn
right onto Garden Street. Take US-101 N to the Las Positas exit, and then
head south (towards the ocean, away from the mountains). Continue on Las Positas
and turn right onto Cliff Drive. Make a left into the parking lot at Arroyo
Burro Beach County Park. The Watershed Resource Center is the first building
on the right as you enter the parking lot.
