Fairview Organic Gardens : Visit
this Goleta farm, founded in 1895, that is considered by some to be the oldest
organic farm in southern California. It is now preserved in perpetuity through
an agricultural conservation easement. On its twelve and a half acres, the farm
produces a hundred different fruits and vegetables, can feed approximately five
hundred families, and employs over twenty people.
- Hours of Operation : Daily 10:00 a.m. - 6:00
p.m.
- Entrance Fees : none.
- ADA Accessible? : Wheelchair navigation is
possible but difficult as many roads are heavy gravel.
- Driving Time : To Goleta - 15 minutes each
way.
- Driving Directions : Exit the hotel going west
on E. Cabrillo Blvd. Turn right onto Garden Street. Take US-101 N and exit
at Fairview Avenue. Merge onto N. Fairview Avenue. Park on Stow Canyon Road
where it intersects with North Fairview Avenue just behind the produce stand.
