Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens : Sixty-five
acres and over five miles of paths meander through an unrivaled collection of
California flora and offer panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Channel
Islands. Eight different habitats represent various regions throughout California,
including redwood forests, oak and canyon woodlands, meadows and deserts.
- Hours of Operation : Daily 9:00 a.m. - 5:00
p.m.
- Entrance Fees : $5.00 for adults; $3.00 for
Seniors (60+); $1.00 for Students and Teens; free for children under 5 years
of age.
- ADA Accessible? : Most of the entry is accessible;
portions farther back are steep and bumpy.
- Driving Time : 25 minutes.
- Driving Directions : 1212 Mission Canyon Rd,
Santa Barbara, CA 93105-2126. Take the Mission Street exit of the 101 North
and head north. Turn left on Santa Barbara Street. Turn right at Los Olivos.
Go past the Mission. Bear left at the fork in the road and continue on to
Foothill Road (Rt. 192). Take a right at the stop sign (Foothill) and a left
at the next stop sign (Mission Canyon Road).
