Humboldt Redwoods State Parkis planning two days of Earth Day events: On
Saturday at 9 a.m. coffee and refreshments will be served at the park's visitor center (Burlington.) At 10:30 a.m., there will be a canoe and kayak
float trip down the South Fork of the Eel River. This event will be on a first come, first served basis by reservation with the ranger staff.
Participants must have a rigid hull craft and a personal floatation device for every participant. For more information, call Ranger Robert Leiterman
at (707) 946-815. At 11 a.m., there will be a cleanup and tree pruning event at the historical "Holgren Homestead" site located off the Salmon Creek

Clear Lake State Park's Interpretive Association is sponsoring a

restore a crumbling sand dune in front of the cottages in the park. Parking will be available in the Los Trancos parking lot
across from the park. To reach the parking lot, drive along Pacific Coast Highway to the stoplight "Crystal Cove/Los Trancos"
and turn inland. Walk across the street at the stoplight, or underneath the Pacific Coast Highway through the tunnel. Both ways
